According to what I have read and researched on the net, the name that turns up most often to being credited to having the most number of friends on Facebook is Steve Hofstetter. He had approximately 200,000 friends on Facebook.
He started out on a voyage to get 10,000. After attaining which he felt why not go for 100,000... and then the Friend Requests just kept on coming. However, they reset his profile after his profile started to slow down Facebook.
At present I believe Steve has the most, but I'm not sure of that. It seems like it would be him though. I can't imagine Facebook giving out the name of the person with the most friends though; as it would violate that someones privacy.
